Terms & Important Information
Please read this carefully. By using PCN Letter, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Plain-English Summary
- PCN Letter is an informational tool that generates a letter based on your answers. It does not provide legal advice.
- You are responsible for checking deadlines, ticket instructions, and submitting the letter to the correct operator or portal.
- Service scope is currently focused on private parking tickets in England & Wales.
- We do not guarantee any particular outcome (cancellation, success on appeal, etc.).
1) Nature of Service (Information Only)
PCN Letter provides an automated letter generator to help you structure an appeal to a private parking operator. The content is generated from your inputs and public information. It is not tailored legal advice, does not create a solicitor–client relationship, and should not be relied on as a substitute for professional advice. If you need legal advice for your specific situation, consult a qualified professional.
2) Scope & Jurisdiction
The service is designed for private parking tickets (e.g., retail parks, supermarkets, gyms) in England & Wales. Rules and processes in Scotland and Northern Ireland differ and are not currently supported in this MVP. Council-issued PCNs are not covered.
3) Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when completing the wizard (dates, operator name, site details, circumstances).
- Review the generated letter before sending. Ensure it matches your situation and includes appropriate evidence (photos of signage, receipts/bank statements, Blue Badge if applicable).
- Check and comply with all deadlines stated on your ticket or by the operator/appeals body (e.g., POPLA/IAS).
4) Payments & Refunds
Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. Because your letter is generated instantly after payment, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you experienced a payment error (e.g., duplicate charge), contact us with your receipt and session ID.
5) No Outcome Guarantee
PCN Letter does not promise any result (for example, cancellation of your charge). Parking operators and independent appeals bodies (e.g., POPLA/IAS) make their own decisions based on their rules and the evidence you provide.
6) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PCN Letter and its operators will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total aggregate liability arising from your use of the service shall be limited to the amount you paid for the specific letter in question.
7) Acceptable Use
- No automated scraping or misuse of the site.
- No false, misleading, or unlawful information submitted.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.
8) Intellectual Property
The website design, components, and text templates are owned by PCN Letter (or its licensors). You receive a personal, limited license to use the generated letter for your own case. You may not resell, republish, or redistribute templates without permission.
9) Privacy & Data
We minimise personal data in this MVP. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we process, payment records, and your choices. Please do not include sensitive information in free-text fields.
10) Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect improvements, legal updates, or changes in service scope. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
