Frequently asked questions
Quick answers for private parking appeals in England & Wales. For step-by-step guidance see How to appeal.
- Does this work for council PCNs?
- No. This tool is for private parking tickets only (retail parks, supermarkets, gyms). Council PCNs have a different process.
- Do I have to be the driver to appeal?
- You can appeal as the registered keeper. If your notice came by post from ANPR, check the POFA 14-day timing.
- What evidence should I include?
- See the evidence checklist—signage photos, payments, machine/app issues, Blue Badge if relevant.
- What happens if the operator rejects my appeal?
- Use your code to escalate: POPLA (BPA) or IAS (IPC).
- How does the £1 letter generator work?
- Answer five questions → pay £1 → get a tailored letter to copy/print. Start now.
- Do you store my personal data?
- Minimal data in the MVP. Payments handled by Stripe. See Privacy.
- Can I get a refund?
- Letters are delivered instantly, so fees are generally non-refundable (except where required by law). If a payment error occurred, email support with your Stripe receipt.
- How do I send the letter?
- Use the operator’s portal or email on your ticket, attach your evidence, and keep a copy. If rejected, escalate with your POPLA/IAS code.
